Welcome to Pranayoga Bathurst

Thank you for joining our Yogi community!

Our intention at Pranayoga is to not only build a local and a global community where harmony, balance and peace is the objective, but to bring forth, and fully alive, the traditional roots of what Yoga truly is - this, ultimately is an opportunity to bring forth and cultivate, true wellbeing, physical, emotional, spiritual and social health.

Classes at pranayoga promote a healthy body and mind, good posture, flexibility, strength, mindfulness and relaxation.
'Be the best you can, Feel the best you can'
We usually feel the benefits of our yoga practice quite early, if we leave the class with a feeling of well being, then the benefits of yoga have already began to reside within.

The absolute gift of yoga is that it is suitable for all, regardless of age and fitness level.
We have a range of classes from beginner to experienced so we ask new students to call  before attending so that we can guide you into the appropriate class.

We offer Vinyasa, Yin & Restorative Yoga,Yoga Workshops, Meditation, Tai Chi & Soundhealing Workshops, & Yoga Retreats - local & global - Free Community Yoga in Machattie Park.
Get ready to step into a beautiful Yoga Community, a clear mind & a vibrant body.
Our classes & retreats are all levels, we offer support for beginners & challenge for long time practitioners.
The yoga pose is not the goal.
Becoming flexible is not the goal.
Standing on your hands or your head is not the goal.
The goal is to create space where you were once stuck.
To unveil the layers of protection you’ve built around your heart.
To appreciate your body and become aware of the mind and the noise it creates.
To make peace with who you are.
The goal is to love, well… YOU!
Come to your yoga mat to feel; not to accomplish.
Shift your focus and your heart will grow.

Namaste - Jan

My yoga classes work on both strength and flexibility.
Having one without the other is like building your house on sand.
Being flexible alone doesn't support your foundations and being strong alone doesn't allow room for movement.
Having both strength and flexibility forms a body and mind that is strong yet soft.
A focused body and mind that has a depth in the knowing and the seeing.
A strong foundation provides steadiness and balance.
A flexible disposition gives you room to change and space to create.
Do you find you favour flexibility over strength?
Or are drawn to strength work and avoid movements to increase flexibility?
Can you aim for a balance?

Benefits Of YOGA
Yoga is a process of self discovery, an eternal journey into finding your center.  Some people ask why we need advanced postures if yoga is about the inner journey.
Handstand was one of my greatest struggles, it pushed me to limit of possibility, it opened a whole new world of awareness when I finally found balance. Everybody and every body needs to be challenged and there is a pose that will test everyone.
Some people because of natural strength or flexibility will not find their edge until they try an advanced pose, but that doesn't make their journey more valid than someone who finds their challenge in a forward bend.
Yoga is not a bend-off.
Handstand is not the gold medal.
What counts is the quality of work that you put in to being a better person every day.๐Ÿง˜‍โ™€๏ธโœจ๐ŸŒบ
See you @pranayoga soon- Jan ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฟ

Great reasons to join  Jan on an Yoga&Wellness Retreat

"Everyone my age travels to the same places”
Want to go somewhere interesting but I've got no-one to travel with? ๐Ÿ˜
Sound familiar? ๐Ÿ˜‰
Or some variation of it?
Maybe your friends can't get the time off work.
Perhaps your partner doesn't like overseas travel.
Or you might still be trying to convince that one friend to come with you? (they're going to crack eventually, right?)
You've possibly considered a group trip but worried it may be too touristy?
And what if you don't have anything in common with the other people?
Come & join us ๐Ÿฅฐ
If this sounds like you then we could be a good fit.
My Yoga&Wellness Retreat are perfect !!! ๐Ÿคฉ
Traveling with like-minded people,
we travel with a vibe much closer to what you'd do with your own friends.
I hope you will join me on a yogic adventure ๐Ÿ’•๐ŸŒบ๐Ÿง˜‍โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿงš

A yoga practice is just that, a practice.
It is not about perfecting anything.
When we strive for flawlessness in yoga and in life, we are trying too hard.  We end up stressing and straining our bodies and minds. Perfectionism can damage our self-esteem, affect our health,              and put excessive pressure on our relationships.
Hope to see you on the mat soon !!!
