“Traveling creates another perspective so you can observe how you behave in a different environment & culture. It will change your way oflooking at your inner world “
๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿง˜‍โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ”†๐Ÿ’œ๐ŸŒ๐ŸŒˆโœŒ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฟ
So many people are dreaming about travelling, but there are so many things holding us back.
I know, sometimes following your intuition feels counter intuitive because you feel uncomfortable, or your ego tells you to stay safe and within your comfort zone.
But think about it…........
โœจ THIS DREAM IS GIVEN TO YOU FOR A REASON โœจ
I want to help you to get in the habit of feeling the fear but doing it anyways, because this is when real growth happens ~The best way to stimulate inner growth is to challenge yourself.  Try new things, get out of your comfort zone, converse with new people from different cultures and live life in a way you aren't used to.
Because after all, if you’re not changing, you’re not growing.
And isn’t that what life is all about?
I hope you will join me on a
YOGI ADVENTURE!!!!!!

  • Why go on a YOGA Retreat with Jan

    1. You will  take your yoga to the next level.

Practicing yoga regularly can be challenging if you have a busy schedule. But when you’re on a retreat, chances are you’ll have 2 classes offered a day, which will ensure your progress and you will see the positive effects more quickly.

    2. You will get a new perspective.

Going to a new place creates an opportunity to see the world, and yourself, in a new light. Experiencing the unknown is an accelerated way to grow and learn.

    3. You will  *actually* meditate.

When you have extended free time, it’s a lot easier to meditate. No phones buzzing or boss reminding you about deadlines. On retreats, it feels a lot more natural to breathe deeply and be present in the moment.

    4. You will detox digitally.

One of my favourite things about a retreat is shutting off my technology. While lots of resorts have wifi, you don’t feel the need to constantly tweet, text, update Facebook or call friends. It feels good to unplug.

    5. You will relax and de-stress.

Sometimes we have to be far from home to give ourselves the permission to truly relax. Being on a retreat allows you to listen to your body, rest when you need it, and be free from stress.

    6. You will eat well without having to do all the work.

If your retreat is all inclusive, you get three healthy and delicious meals a day without the need to find recipes, go grocery shopping, prepare the food, or clean up. Getting the nutrition you need has never been easier. All the work is done for you.

    7. You will replace old habits.

The best way to break a bad habit is to replace it with a new healthy one. When you get out of your regular routine for a week, you can replace unhealthy habits with conscious new behaviors that support you in being your best self.

    8. You will  make new friends.

Undeniably, you will meet individuals with similar interests. Even if you go alone (which I did my first time), you have a chance to make friends with people from around the world who you might know for the rest of your life.

    9. You will appreciate home.

While a week in paradise is always nice, we often come home with a refreshed appreciation for life. You feel happier, healthier, and re-energized to jump back into your routine with new vigor. Heck, it might even feel fun.

    10. WHY?  Because you deserve it!

Thoreau said: “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you’ve imagined.” While this quote might be on your refrigerator, chances are you make excuses about why you can’t YET. Often times the excuses are about money, time or circumstances but guess what, you deserve a break. You work hard for a reason and you can always find reasons why you should or should not do something. The key to happiness is deciding what you really want and making it happen.

“People wait all week for Friday. All year for Summer. All of their life for happiness. What if you could have it now?”

    No excuses !!!!!!

You deserve to invest in yourself.

  • COVID Related Cancellation Policy

COVID RELATED SAFETY PROCEDURES & CANCELLATION POLICY

    Safe and responsible travel, always.

As we get back on the road, we want to ensure our tours and retreats remain safe for everyone — for our travellers, our leaders and crew, and the people we visit along the way.

We’re following recommendations from the World Health Organization and the World Travel & Tourism Council’s (WTTC) Safe Travel protocols for tour operators & www.smarttraveller.gov.au .

All our itineraries undergo a comprehensive risk assessment and audit, with our leaders and suppliers and our staff are required to be fully vaccinated.

    Vaccinations

Travellers are required to produce proof of COVID-19 vaccination & Boosters, on all of our trips until we return to a more standardised level of travel requirements worldwide. At the moment there is too much inconsistency and change and it would make travelling unvaccinated very complex.

If you are unable to be vaccinated for medical reasons, you may apply for an exemption. Exemptions will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. To apply, you must provide a medical certificate from a medical professional.

What will happen if I get Covid 19 whilst travelling?

We suggest contacting you travel insurance provider straight away and isolate.

Each country has its own rules regarding this. We  will provide you with the in country information you need and to see a qualified medical practitioner where possible.  We will also assist you with accommodation and any other needs you may have at this time, however your travel insurance provider will also assist you. Your travel insurance provider should cover medical, isolation and cancellation costs if you test positive to COVID-19. Check your policy on purchase and discuss this with them. They may also pay your resumptions costs to re-join the group once you are better depending on the duration of the tour and the length of time you test positive for.  We can assist with the logistics of this. You will also need to check requirements to re-enter your country of origin.  From the 17th of April 2022 Australian resident do not need a PCR test to re-enter Australia.  Pranayoga  will always support our guests  to ensure they are safe and feel supported.

Booking Conditions, Deposits and Cancellation Policies

    Travel Safe Protocols

Your safety and well-being will always be our Number 1 priority which is why we’ve instituted the most stringent Covid health and safety protocols on all of our tours.

As we continue to monitor the local situation in each destination, these protocols will evolve and we will provide you with detailed guidelines for your particular tour prior to departure. Please see below for Covid Safe details.

    When travelling with us

Here is a brief summary on the steps we are taking to ensure you will be safe, secure and satisfied when you travel with us.

    Local guides and Pranayoga Hosts

Our local guides and/ Jan Green will conduct a Health and Safety briefing with you before the tour begins and will help everyone ensure they adhere to social distancing, hygiene practices and local regulations They will carry a supply of face masks and hand sanitizer for you to use free of charge and will, of course, observe the highest level of personal hygiene at all times.

Should anyone on the group fall ill we will ensure the individual receives swift medical attention and can only return to the group once cleared to do so.

    Transport & Sightseeing

Vehicles will be thoroughly clean and disinfected with disinfectant after each excursion service, overnight and between different groups.

Hand sanitiser will be given to the group on each embarkation and vehicles will be thoroughly ventilated prior to passengers boarding.

Drivers will always embark vehicles after clients, disembark before the group vehicle prior to clients disembarking and maintain social distancing and maintain a high level of personal hygiene at all times.

Only front facing microphones will be used on vehicles. Your guides will assess the situation on the ground avoiding large crowds.

    Accommodation

We  will only offer hotels that have undergone a detailed hygiene assessment, have specific COVID-19 protocols in place and comply with government standards.

We will ensure these protocols include staff practicing social distancing and wearing appropriate PPI, regular cleaning and disinfection of high frequency touch points in all areas and food safety.

    Dining

All the restaurants we visit will be researched and inspected regularly to ensure that they follow the strictest health, cleanliness and safety guidelines.

Hand sanitiser will be provided to the group before and after every food and beverage service.

  • First Time Guide to India

    First time guide to INDIA

First time guide to India ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฟ

India is a feast (and occasionally a full-frontal assault) for the senses.

While every visitor will take away something different from this fascinating country, going in with a few simple things in mind will help first timers navigate their encounter

     ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ Go with the flow

Not everything in life goes to plan. Embrace this simple fact, and you will get so much more out of your trip. Things may not necessarily run exactly on time or schedule, and India is large even by Australian standards.

The traffic and occasional infrastructure hiccups can mean travelling both near and far may take a little longer.

To avoid burning out, or toppling a delicate itinerary, prepare to be flexible, invest in travel insurance and consider enlisting the guidance of a professional who will know how to take things in stride.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ Get ready for the gaggle

It’s one thing to read Indian population statistics but it’s another to experience them. India’s cities are a limitless resource for keen people watchers, but personal space can be hard to come by at popular tourist attractions, and foreigners might draw curious stares (and surreptitious photographs). Queuing etiquette, for one, is a bit more flexible – if you don’t cosy up to the person in front, you might lose your place to someone bolder.

A sense of humour is invaluable, and the more you take in stride, the less attention you will garner.

There are also moments of great serenity to be found, whether it’s watching dawn from a quiet ghat, wandering the shaded halls of a

Mughal fort, or cruising a sleepy river through palm groves.

    ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ Be curious and courteous

Like any country, India has a deep cultural undercurrent that could take a foreigner a lifetime, or more, to understand.

Picking up a few basic customs, however, will serve you well.

For instance, pointing with your finger or foot is especially uncouth in India and the left hand is seldom used for eating or passing objects

(it’s traditionally reserved for taking care of business in the bathroom).

While social mores are changing, dress expectations for women remain quite conservative.

Outside of Goa tight or revealing clothing is a rarity, and a light shawl is always good to have on hand.

A few local phrases, such as dhanyavaad (thank you), will never go amiss.

     ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ Feast not famine

Yes, food safety is important for any traveller to keep in mind but Indian cuisine is one of the most vibrant and varied on the planet so depriving yourself would be a sin.

If in doubt, exercise the usual logic: crowds of locals are a good sign, always opt for fresh-cooked and lean on the expertise of those in the know such as local tour guides.

The standard of vegetarian food is high, so if you would rather err on the side of caution and skip meat (sometimes a good idea when power outages may impact refrigeration), it’s hardly a sacrifice.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ Strike out of the cities

Mumbai and Delhi are dizzying in the best of ways, but for a glimpse of a different side of India try to get out into the countryside. From verdant southern India, where water buffalo lounge in rice paddies and the pace slows to a sleepy rhythm, to the deserts of northern Rajasthan where camels plod by the roadside, rural India rewards the explorer.

    ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ Shop up a storm

India is a treasure trove for one-off souvenirs so arrive with a little spare room in your suitcase.

From vintage Bollywood posters and colourful trinkets to precious silks and ornate jewellery, the wonders to be found in the markets, bazaars and boutiques of India are never ending. Enthusiastic hagglers will find plenty of excuses to hone their skills in the right setting (it’s not really appropriate in fixed-price stores), but it’s not worth losing your cool over a matter of cents. If you plan to invest in something valuable, take your time and use your head – if the price is too good to be true, it’s probably not genuine.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ Watch out for rickshaw or taxi drivers offering a discount if you agree to a quick detour to their ‘favourite emporium “

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ Be quick on compassion, but slow to reach for the wallet

Poverty in India is often visible, and pint-sized beggars can be very distressing.

But with primary education free throughout the country, children should be in school, so your spare change might do more harm than good.

Many Indian nationals are often the first to caution against relenting to begging, which can operate as rackets in busy urban centres.

Be wary too of accepting anything foisted upon you on the street as a ‘gift.’ Even something as innocuous as a flower or bracelet may come with an expected fee if you take it.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ Get lost (but not too lost)

With a little common sense on your side, wandering the streets of India will reveal sights that will stay with your forever.

Thanks to the wonders of modern technology (namely GPS), it’s nearly always possible to find your way.

When it comes time to return to home base, many taxi drivers don’t speak English so have your hotel marked on a map and try to memorise a nearby landmark.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ I can’t wait to share this incredible adventure with you ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿงก
