Welcome to your safe space.
A local studio where you're encouraged to move mindfully, breathe deeply, and leave the outside world at the door.
Meet Jan
Yoga is not about touching your toes, it is what you learn on the way down.
As the owner and heart behind Pranayoga, Jan Green infuses her classes with creativity, devotion, and a genuine love for her community. She teaches a fluid, vinyasa-style yoga that supports the merging of body, mind, and spirit - always balanced with a good sense of humour and authentic connection.
Whether she's leading a local Flow & Release class or guiding a transformative wellness retreat in Bali, Jan's goal is simple: to help you soften, open up, and move more deeply into your natural state of happiness.
With years of experience leading retreats across India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Morocco, Jan brings a wealth of global inspiration right back to the mat in Bathurst.
The art of listening to your body
In our society, we're so often taught that more is better - more speed, more strength, more flexibility. In a standard gym environment with its 'no pain, no gain' culture, it can be really difficult to switch to a yoga mindset.
At Pranayoga, we do things differently.
Here, it's not about getting 'better' at a pose or pushing yourself to the point of discomfort. It's about checking in and noticing how your body, breath, and mind feel on any given day. If you're tired, it's always okay to rest in child’s pose. If you're an athlete, yoga is the perfect recovery tool to help you tune back into what your body actually needs without having to compete with the person next to you.
Practising yoga is simply an opportunity to learn more about yourself. When you move mindfully, the chance of injury is lower, and the physical and mental benefits are endless.
